Healthcare stocks rise
Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 77.86 points or 0.54% at 14579.58 at 09:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, FDC Ltd (up 6.09%), Gufic BioSciences Ltd (up 5.53%),Ajanta Pharma Ltd (up 5.48%),Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 4.39%),Aarti Drugs Ltd (up 4.1%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd (up 3.44%), Albert David Ltd (up 3.41%), Ipca Laboratories Ltd (up 2.81%), Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 2.74%), and Strides Pharma Science Ltd (up 2.53%).
On the other hand, Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (down 3.18%), Hikal Ltd (down 1.37%), and Granules India Ltd (down 1.25%) turned lower.
At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 46.32 or 0.11% at 41276.68.
The Nifty 50 index was down 9.5 points or 0.08% at 12116.4.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 64.53 points or 0.44% at 14736.11.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 26.55 points or 0.52% at 5092.22.
On BSE,874 shares were trading in green, 602 were trading in red and 81 were unchanged.
