Healthcare shares rise

Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 89.99 points or 0.64% at 14147.42 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 4.95%), Solara Active Pharma Sciences Ltd (up 4.64%),Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (up 4.2%),Gufic BioSciences Ltd (up 3.76%),Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (up 3.36%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 2.22%), Aarti Drugs Ltd (up 2.05%), Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (up 2.05%), Piramal Enterprises Ltd (up 1.94%), and FDC Ltd (up 1.74%).

On the other hand, Lupin Ltd (down 2.96%), Indoco Remedies Ltd (down 1.77%), and Marksans Pharma Ltd (down 1.01%) moved lower.

 

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 67.25 or 0.16% at 41238.78.

The Nifty 50 index was down 8 points or 0.07% at 12129.95.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 59.85 points or 0.41% at 14789.83.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 16.66 points or 0.33% at 5124.09.

On BSE,726 shares were trading in green, 592 were trading in red and 61 were unchanged.
