The Hong Kong stock market finished higher in volatile trade on Tuesday, 10 May 2016. The benchmark index opened down 194 points at 19,962, which marked the intra-day low. It then gradually recovered its losses as China's April PPI contraction eased. The benchmark Hang Seng Index gained 85.87 points, or 0.43%, to 20242.68 points. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, benchmark measure of performance of mainland China enterprises, grew 35.44 points, or 0.42%, to 8486.16. Turnover increased to HK$59.8 billion from HK$54.6 billion on Monday.
