Turnover on NSE's F&O segment jumps
The Nifty March 2018 futures traded at 10116, near Nifty's spot closing of 10114.75 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 13.65 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 8.14 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 40.50 points or 0.4% to settle at 10,114.75, its lowest closing level since 19 March 2018.
Jubilant FoodWorks, Reliance Industries (RIL), State Bank of India (SBI), Tata Steel and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Jubilant FoodWorks March 2018 futures traded at 2272, at a premium over spot closing of 2265.45. RIL March 2018 futures traded at 908, at a slight discount to spot closing of 908.90.
