Metal stocks ease
Metal stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Metal index decreasing 64.4 points or 0.76% at 8410.56 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Metal index, Hindalco Industries Ltd (down 2.49%), National Aluminium Company Ltd (down 2.29%), Vedanta Ltd (down 1.72%), Coal India Ltd (down 1.37%), Steel Authority of India Ltd (down 1.29%), and Tata Steel Ltd (down 0.23%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, NMDC Ltd (up 1.91%), JSW Steel Ltd (up 0.79%), and Hindustan Zinc Ltd (up 0.68%) turned up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 169.01 or 0.44% at 38578.49.
The Nifty 50 index was up 52.4 points or 0.47% at 11303.4.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 45.18 points or 0.33% at 13597.61.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 4.91 points or 0.1% at 4717.68.
On BSE,1223 shares were trading in green, 1028 were trading in red and 151 were unchanged.
