Nifty February 2014 futures fall below 6000

Turnover jumps

Nifty February 2014 futures were at 5998.65, at a discount of 2.45 points compared to spot closing of 6001.10. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 139756.61 crore from Rs 103808.78 crore on Wednesday, 12 February 2014.

Tata Steel February 2014 futures were at 366.65, near spot closing of 365.20.

Tata Motors February 2014 futures were at 376.65, near spot closing of 375.

Aurobindo Pharma February 2014 futures were at 487, at a premium over spot closing of 485.

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty tumbled 82.90 points or 1.36% to settle at 6,001.10, its lowest closing level since 4 February 2014.

 

The February 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 26 February 2014.
