Turnover drops
Nifty January 2014 futures were at 6262.05, at a premium of 20.20 points over spot closing of 6241.85. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 102323.92 crore from Rs 139150.48 crore on Monday, 13 January 2014.
Infosys January 2014 futures were at 3698.90, at a premium over spot closing of 3691.90.
L&T January 2014 futures were at 978.25, at a premium over spot closing of 973.20.
Tata Steel January 2014 futures were at 375.90, near spot closing of 374.25.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty lost 30.90 points or 0.49% to settle at 6,241.85, its lowest closing level since 10 January 2014.
The January 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 30 January 2014.
