Japanese shares ended higher on Wednesday, 18 February 2015, as appetite for riskier assets grew by tracking gains on the Wall Street overnight, a slightly cheaper yen against the greenback and speculation Greece will resolve its standoff with creditors. The Bank of Japan rosier picture of economic conditions also underpinned on sentiment. The Nikkei Stock Average advanced 212.08 points, or 1.18%, to 18199.17, a new seven-year high. The broader Topix ended 20.60 points, or 1.41%, stronger at 1482.67, its highest close since December 2007.
