Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index gains 1.32%

Nifty Metal index closed up 1.32% at 6064.7 today. The index has gained 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Adani Enterprises Ltd added 2.67%, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd rose 2.60% and Steel Authority of India Ltd jumped 1.93%. The Nifty Metal index has soared 6.00% over last one year compared to the 1.60% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Energy index gained 1.29% and Nifty Infrastructure index gained 0.99% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.06% to close at 17655.6 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.08% to close at 59196.99 today.
