Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index rises 2.13%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 2.13% at 9343.35 today. The index is up 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd added 3.81%, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd jumped 3.72% and Piramal Enterprises Ltd dropped 2.97%. The Nifty Pharma index is up 4.00% over last one year compared to the 18.14% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index is down 1.97% and Nifty FMCG index increased 1.92% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.57% to close at 9251.5 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.63% to close at 31642.7 today.
