Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index declines 2.14%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 2.14% at 3252.35 today. The index is up 17.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Punjab National Bank shed 8.00%, Andhra Bank fell 5.56% and Syndicate Bank slipped 4.99%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 11.00% over last one year compared to the 13.24% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index added 1.29% and Nifty Metal index gained 1.16% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.02% to close at 11389.45 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.07% to close at 37665.8 today.
