Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index registers a drop of 3.59%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 3.59% at 2225.2 today. The index has lost 12.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Indian Bank fell 13.26%, State Bank of India dropped 4.70% and Union Bank of India shed 4.19%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has decreased 16.00% over last one year compared to the 13.28% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has slid 1.71% and Nifty Bank index has slid 1.19% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.19% to close at 11582.6 while the SENSEX has declined 0.10% to close at 39020.39 today.
