Real Estate stocks surge
Real Estate stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Realty Index index increasing 67.57 points or 4.85% at 1461.78 at 09:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Realty Index index, Oberoi Realty Ltd (up 11.78%), Sobha Ltd (up 4.99%),Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd (up 4.93%),DLF Ltd (up 4.77%),Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (up 4.27%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Prestige Estates Projects Ltd (up 3.49%), Phoenix Mills Ltd (up 3.32%), Sunteck Realty Ltd (up 3.13%), Godrej Properties Ltd (up 1.57%), and Omaxe Ltd (up 1.39%).
At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 1008.1 or 3.29% at 31610.71.
The Nifty 50 index was up 302.2 points or 3.36% at 9295.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 298.76 points or 2.83% at 10842.41.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 121.36 points or 3.27% at 3837.51.
On BSE,1405 shares were trading in green, 230 were trading in red and 70 were unchanged.
