Rupee gains higher

At 61.72/73 per dollar

Indian rupee opened higher on Thursday (17 October 2013) at 61.72/73 per dollar, as against its previous close of 61.8350/8450 on Tuesday, tracking gains in other Asian currencies and a higher opening in the domestic equity market due to more foreign inflows.
