Tata Steel Ltd gained 3.5% today to trade at Rs 299.75. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 1.85% to quote at 6464.98. The index is down 32.93 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd increased 3.3% and Vedanta Ltd added 2.8% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 42.85 % over last one year compared to the 18.42% fall in benchmark SENSEX.
Tata Steel Ltd has lost 30.94% over last one month compared to 32.93% fall in S&P BSE Metal index and 24.68% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 88168 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 9.67 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 560.35 on 02 May 2019. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 252.2 on 13 Mar 2020.
