Utilties shares fall

Utilties stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Utilities index falling 4.86 points or 0.27% at 1780.72 at 16:00 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Utilities index, KSK Energy Ventures Ltd (down 3.23%), A2Z Infra Engineering Ltd (down 2.65%),Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (down 2.12%),Rattanindia Power Ltd (down 1.96%),NTPC Ltd (down 1.1%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Adani Transmission Ltd (down 0.72%), JSW Energy Ltd (down 0.6%), Va Tech Wabag Ltd (down 0.5%), GE T&D India Ltd (down 0.47%), and Gujarat Industries Power Co Ltd (down 0.37%).
On the other hand, Reliance Power Ltd (up 9.09%), RattanIndia Infrastructure Ltd (up 8.33%), and Reliance Infrastructure Ltd (up 7.32%) moved up.
At 16:00 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 263.86 or 0.71% at 37332.79.
The Nifty 50 index was up 74.95 points or 0.68% at 11023.25.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 44.74 points or 1.06% at 4250.87.
On BSE,1412 shares were trading in green, 1121 were trading in red and 170 were unchanged.
