Two security personnel lost their lives and two others sustained injuries as a blast rocked Afghanistan's Parwan province on Saturday, officials said.
According to a police official, the security personnel were busy defusing an explosive device on a road in Khalazai area on the outskirts of Charikar, the capital of Parwan province, when it exploded, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Taliban described the blast as a roadside bombing, claiming that it was planted by the militant group and struck a vehicle of security personnel, killing several persons.
