2 Taliban militants killed in Afghanistan

As many as 22 Taliban militants were killed Saturday in Afghanistan's Kunar province during a clash between security forces and militants, Xinhua reported.

"The Afghan army and police came in contact with the militants in Waligram area of Chapadara district. The engagement lasted for hours, killing 22 armed militants," an army spokesman said, the deceased included three local Taliban leaders.
