3 killed by speeding truck in UP

Three persons were killed by a speeding truck on Tuesday in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district, police said.

Over a dozen others were injured in the incident that took place in Maniyar village.

The victims, who belonged to Siwan, Bihar, were sleeping on the roadside and had come to visit a shrine.

All three were females, the police said.

Of the injured, three including an infant are reported to be critical.
