Alia Bhatt goes three shades darker in 'Udta Punjab'

Actress Alia Bhatt will be seen in an unusual avatar in her upcoming film "Udta Punjab". She will be seen sporting a darker skin tone.

Alia plays the role of a Bihari girl in the Abhishek Chaubey directorial, which also stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.

Apart from the lingo and her body language, Alia has decided to go for a darker skin tone to match her character, read a statement.

She will be seen in a wheatish skin tone in the film.

"Udta Punjab" is set to release on June 17.
