The Indian Army said on Thursday it has successfully foiled an infiltration bid on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.
"A group of four militants attempted to infiltrate under the cover of darkness in the mountainous terrain in Tangdhar sector on Wednesday, but they were spotted and were engaged in heavy fire and were seen running away," a defence ministry officer said.
