BJP MPs allege phone tapping by Karnataka government

Three BJP MPs on Wednesday wrote to alleging phone tapping of party leaders by the government and urged him to instruct the state authority to "end this pernicious practice".

The three MPs -- Shoba Karandlaje, and -- in their letter stated that the government in was taking the advantage of the political situation which was "fluid following a fractured mandate".

"The government has resorted to cheap tactics of tapping the telephones of the (BJP) leaders," said the letter addressed to Singh.

Karnataka underwent assembly polls on May 12 and results were announced on May 15.
