The bodies of two fire-fighters, trapped under debris, were recovered on Saturday in a rescue operation three days after a building collapsed due to fire, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Sunil, a native of Rohtak, and Manjeet, a resident of Malikpur village in Delhi.

They were trying to douse the fire which broke out in a plastics factory in the three-storey building in Outer Delhi's Narela area on September 28, a fire officer said.

A joint search operation was being carried out to recover more persons who might be trapped under the debris, the officer said.

Three fire-fighters were injured during the rescue operation including Assistant Divisional Officer (ADO) A.K. Jaiswal, who was later discherged from hospital. Two others, sub-officer Tejpal and fireman Anup Kumar, are still undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
