CCI gives nod to Samsung, HP printer biz deal

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has said that it has approved the acquisition of Samsung's printer business by HP Inc.

In a tweet, the CCI had said on Tuesday: "CCI_India approves acquisition of printer business of Samsung by HP Inc."

HP had proposes to acquire the global printer business of Samsung. Both the companies had entered into a master purchase agreement on September 12, 2016.

The proposed transaction came under the Section 5(a) of the Competition Act, 2002.
