Five militants killed in Afghanistan blast

Five Taliban militants were killed and another injured when their explosive device went off prematurely in Afghanistan's eastern Kunar province Saturday.

"Six Taliban insurgents were busy in planting a mine on a road in Dangam district this morning when the device exploded accidentally killing five rebels on the spot and badly injured another," Xinhua quoted a statement of the country's interior ministry released here as saying.
