Jack Black to produce spooky web series

Actor-comedian Jack Black will produce an online version of a comedy series about ghost hunters.

The 43-year-old actor has teamed up with bosses of internet giant Yahoo! and Shine America to produce "Ghost Ghirls", a paranormal web comedy series.

Co-creators Amanda Lund and Maria Blasucci star as the female double-act, while Black will make guest appearances in the online series, which is billed as a spoof version of TV shows such as "Medium" and "Ghost Whisperer".

The show is due to premiere in autumn this year.
