A 45-year-old man was crushed to death by a speeding container-truck here on early Sunday after which an enraged mob damaged two DTC buses.
Anup Singh was hit and crushed by a truck at a traffic signal in Jahangirpuri area of west Delhi.
"The victim was on his bicycle when a speeding container-truck hit him from behind and drove away from the spot leaving him in a pool of blood," a police official said.
Singh's relatives and neighbours blocked the road for over an hour after the accident and damaged two DTC buses.
"Now the situation is normal. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered and hunt is on for the errant container-truck driver," the official said.
Singh, who used to work at a private factory, was a resident of Mukundpur area in west Delhi.
