Actor James McAvoy, who earlier announced his divorce from Anne Marie-Duff, has reportedly formed a "close" friendship with his "X-Men" co-star Alexandra Shipp.
"It is no great secret how they have got close. James has been quite open among the cast and crew that his marriage was over, and it seems he has struck up a friendship with Alex since then," mirror.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
Last week the pair were spotted together at an "X Men: Apocalypse" party where McAvoy was seen being cosily tactile with Shipp.
"It has been the source of some gossip among those connected to the film, but they have kept things low key," the source added.
McAvoy and Marie-Duff were married for nine years. Together they have a son named Brendan.
