The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh Tuesday said no case of 'love jihad', religious conversion and illegal intrusion of Bangladeshi labourers has been reported in the state.

Refuting allegations of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, a government statement said the VHP has been claiming 'love jihad' and intrusion of Bangladeshi labourers in the state but so far it has failed to provide any reliable facts before the government.

It said all such allegations were false and fabricated, and aimed at misleading the people.

Police were examining an incident of slogan-writing in favour of Pakistan on the walls of the ESI Medical College in Mandi town. "Except this case, no other case has been registered with the police," it added.

The government also refuted allegations regarding religious conversion.

"There is no Bangladeshi labourer in the state. However, the state is vigilant on illegal intrusion of labourers, as all labourers coming from other states are being registered," it said.
