Pironkova reaches first WTA final at Sydney

Bulgarian qualifier Tsevtana Pironkova has made her first WTA final after upsetting second seed Czech Petra Kvitova at the Apia International Sydney tennis tournament.
Pironkova ousted the Czech 6-4 6-3 Thursday to reach the final.
The 26-year-old Bulgarian will face German 5th seed Angelique Kerber in the final Friday.
Pironkova achieved her career-high ranking of No.31 in the world in 2010 and is best known for having made a semifinal at Wimbledon.
