Policeman arrested with heroin in Jammu

A police constable has been arrested here and heroin and capsules containing a psychotropic substance were seized from him, an official said on Monday.

Constable Arvind Kumar, who worked as a wireless operator at the police control room in Jammu city, was arrested late on Sunday in Rehari area, a police officer told IANS.

"Heroin and some psychotropic capsules were recovered from his possession," he said.

A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Jammu city.
