Retired CRPF officer shoots himself

A retired Central Reserve Police Force commandant Saturday committed suicide by shooting himself, police said.

B.B. Sharma shot himself in the head with his licensed revolver at his home in Vasant Vihar area of south Delhi. His body was recovered from the bathroom.

Police said no suicide note was found but Sharma was depressed for the past few days.

Sharma, who retired from the force in 1993, is survived by his son.
