Saina beats world champion, wins Syed Modi title

Defending champion Saina Nehwal defeated reigning world champion Carolina Marin of Spain in the final to lift the women's singles title once again at the $120,000 Syed Modi International Badminton Championships here Sunday.

The Indian won the summit clash 19-21, 25-23, 21-16 in one hour and 19 minutes at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium here.
