Sigourney Weaver can be mom 'monster'

Actress Sigourney Weaver says that she can be a bit of a monster as a mother.

Her latest film is an adaptation of the popular children's book "A Monster Calls", and she told pagesix.com that when it comes to her own child, she can be a bit of a monster herself.

"I do have a monster in me," said the actress, who has a daughter.

"I am very close to my daughter, and occasionally I will hear a voice come out of me that is very emphatic... I heard it especially when she was applying for college. It was like, 'Who was that voice telling you to get your applications done?'"
