Three die in Vietnam storm

Three people were killed and four injured when a storm battered Vietnam, authorities said.

The storm Sunday also damaged hundreds of houses, submerged thousands of hectares of rice and vegetable crops and impacted major infrastructure facilities, mostly in the northern provinces of the country, Xinhua reported.

The storm is estimated to have caused damage worth $480,000.
