Three killed as car hits crowd in China

At least three people were killed and 18 others injured as a car hit crowd in China's Jiangxi province on Tuesday, said government sources.

The accident occurred around 7.15 a.m. (local time) on a road in Fengxin county, Xinhua cited a publicity official of the county as saying.

The injured were rushed to hospitals. The driver was held by police.

The cause of the accident was being investigated.
