Trinamool MP arrested in chit fund scam

Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay was on Tuesday arrested by the CBI in the Rose Valley Chit Fund scam, an official said.

He was summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and was arrested at the agency's regional office here after questioning, an agency official said.

According to CBI sources, this was the Trinamool leader's third summons for interrogation in connection with his alleged role in the scam.
