UN condemns terror attack at Pakistan shrine

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned the terror attack on worshippers at a shrine in Sehwan town of Pakistan's Sindh province that killed at least 72 people.
On Thursday, a deadly suicide blast hit the shrine that also left at least 200 injured. The extremist group Islamist State (IS) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
"The United Nations supports the government of Pakistan in its fight against terrorism in full respect of international and human rights norms," said a statement released on Thursday by Guterres' spokesperson, Xinhua news agency reported.
"We call for the perpetrators of this attack to be brought to justices swiftly," it added.
