Japanese two wheeler maker Yamaha Motor Company on Thursday said it is recalling 902 units of YZF-R3 sports bike to rectify some defects.

In a statement, Yamaha said it will recall the motorcycles in India under its factory modification campaign and replace the defective parts free of cost.

According to Yamaha, it has determined that a defect relating to clutch pressure plate assembly and oil pump assembly exists in few YZF-R3 motorcycles falling within certain production numbers.

The replacement of the parts will be done by Yamaha's authorised dealers.
