Letters: Protect migrants

The leader “Homes away from home” (August 17) was excellent. Internal migration is vital for growth in an economy. Thus, attacks on migrant workers are not justified. In this context, Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar’s effort to assure protection to north-eastern workers is praiseworthy. It appears that in addition to natural calamities, men, too, are hard at work to add to destruction by instigating acts of violence.
