Letters: The Lahore attack - II

The attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team needs to be strongly condemned. It appears that the sportsmen were targeted for no reason. This may perhaps be the last visit of the Lankan team to Pakistan. The safety of people visiting Pakistan is under threat. While security measures need to be stepped up, maintaining 24x7 vigilance throughout the major cities is not possible. The culprits having a hand in this hideous act need to be apprehended and the reasons behind it ascertained at the earliest. It was a blessing in disguise that the Indian cricket team cancelled its tour of Pakistan following the Mumbai terrorist attacks in November.
