Trouble on the menu

Business Standard  |  New Delhi

Business class passengers travelling on Air India may be delighted by the lobster thermidor and barbecued prawns being served on board in place of the standard chicken tikka and mutton kebab, the airline’s employees are unhappy about delighting customers this way. That’s because seafood is more expensive than chicken or mutton and given that the state-owned airline is not paying salaries on time and defaulting on bills to oil companies and other vendors, the employees find this service upgrade hard to swallow.
