ABG Shipyard Limited, one of the largest ship builders in the country reported a 24.02 % increase in its net profit at Rs. 33.40 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 26.93 crore during the same period last year. Net Sales in Q1FY08 rose by 22.70 % to Rs 203.34 crore from Rs. 165.71 crore in the corresponding quarter.

Earnings per share as on June 30, 2007 stood at Rs. 6.56 as compared to Rs. 5.28 in the corresponding quarter last year.
