IJU condemns attack on scribe

"The IJU strongly condemns the attack on September one in Mao when the photo journalist went to cover the incident of group clash," IJU secretary Geetartha Pathak said in a statement here.

"There have been several attempts to gag the press and attack mediapersons which is condemnable with government remaining mute spectators," he said.

The Dimapur Press Club and the Kohima Press Club have also condemned the attack on Mao.

The IJU urged the Government of Nagaland to identify the culprits and provide compensation to Mao.
