Reshuffle at IPS level in West Bengal

Superintendent of Police, Birbhum, Rishikesh Meena, who was asked to go on leave after a firing on villagers at Loba on November 14, was posted in the Kolkata Police as Deputy Commissioner - Wireless, state secretariat sources said.

DC Port Mehboob Rahman was promoted as Joint Commissioner in City Police, while Commandant of the state Armed Police, 2nd Battalion, Biswaroop Ghosh was promoted as DIG Armed Police at Durgapur.

Superintendent of Railway Police, Siliguri, Shyamal Kumar Bhattacharya was promoted as DIG Malda Range.

DIG Presidency Range Anil Kumar would take over as DIG, CIF, while DIG Organisation Dilip Bandyopadhyay would take over as DIG Presidency Range.

 

Coochbehar SP Pranab Kumar Das would take over as Special Superintendent of Police, Enforcement Branch, West Bengal.

EFR Commandant, 3rd Battalion, Anoop Jaiswal would take over as SP in Coochbehar.

The SAP 11th Battalion Commandant Niladri Chakraborty would take over as DCDD-II in Kolkata Police.

The SDPO Haldia Amitabha Maiti was promoted as Additional SP Haldia, while Assistant Commissioner of Police, Howrah Police Commissionerate Chandan Ghosh would take over as SDPO Haldia in East Midnapore district, the sources said.
