One person was killed and four others were injured as one of the two factions opened fire during a 'panchayat' called for resolving a land dispute in Veerpur village in the district today, police said.
Radheyshaym, who was allegedly under illegal possession of some land, had called for a 'panchayat' for resolving the issue and when the rival faction reached there, the former's side indulged in brick batting and also opened fire, police said.
While one person identified as Jitendra was killed, four others were injured, police said, adding that out of the four, two with gunshot injuries have been referred to Agra for treatment.
Efforts were on to arrest the culprits, police added.
