1 killed, 9 injured in separate road accidents in Amethi

One person was killed and nine others seriously injured in separate road accidents here, police said today.

Sharda Prasad (45) of Ramapur-Tikari village was killed and two others were injured after their motorcycle was hit by a vehicle, they said

The accident occurred on the Amethi-Pratapgarh road.

They were taken to a community health centre where Prasad was declared dead, police said.

In another road accident, at least seven people, including four women, were injured when two tempos collided with each other near Utelwa village on the Sultanpur-Lucknow national highway, they said.

They were referred to a trauma centre in Lucknow after primary treatment, police said.
