10 dead in road accident in China

At least 10 people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The accident happened yesterday in Kuytun city when a cement mixer rear-ended a tricycle and then collided with a minibus, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

The injured were sent to a local hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, local authorities said.
