A 19-year-old woman was
allegedly raped by her neighbour at Bhiwandi in the district, police said today.
The incident took place on Friday. Basu Hari Jadhav (25), an auto rickshaw driver, dragged the woman out of her house, took her to his room and raped her, Police Sub-Inspector L B Rathod of Narpoli police station said.

The victim filed a complaint last evening, following which the accused was arrested, the officer said.
According to police, the victim worked in a local factory and both, the woman and the accused, belong to the same village in Karnataka.
Jadhav has been booked under IPC sections 376 (rape), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 406 (criminal breach of trust).
