Fear and tension gripped Aheda village here after a group of people entered inside a religious place and beat up two persons besides vandalising loudspeaker, police said today.
The incident took place last night when the accused entered the site and started beating two persons. They also damaged the loudspeaker which was installed there, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sharad Sachan said.
The accused then allegedly fired rounds of shots in the air in order to escape, he said.

Force has been deployed in the village to avert any untoward incident, he said, adding the situation is under control.
Two accused have been identified and hunt was on to nab them, Sachan said.
